Simmons 1, Ashley Money 1 & Lynn McKeown 1 2017-06-24 · Protein-protein interactions (PPIs) trigger a wide range of biological signaling pathways that are crucial for biomedical research and drug discovery. Various techniques have been used to study specific proteins, including affinity chromatography, activity-based probes, affinity-based probes and photo-affinity labeling (PAL). Within Affinity Proteomics Group we develop, design and apply recombinant antibody microarrays for high-throughput (disease) proteomics, with a particular focus on oncoproteomics and autoimmunity. We have adopted a cross-disciplinary technological approach to develop a state-of-the-art recombinant antibody microarray technology platform capable of handling most sample formats.

Affinity chromatography becomes a more and more popular method used in proteomic studies for separation of various groups of proteins (subproteomes).
Finally, we revealed the biological processes and metabolic functions carried out by these genes through the use of GO, KEGG Pathway, and HMR2.0 that is compilation of the human metabolic reactions. We demonstrated the results of the combined analysis of the transcriptomics and affinity proteomics.

Affinity proteomics reveals human host factors implicated in discrete stages of LINE-1 retrotransposition LINE-1s are active human DNA parasites that are agents of genome dynamics in evolution and disease. The most powerful of these methods is affinity chromatography, also called affinity purification, whereby the protein of interest is purified by virtue of its specific binding properties to an immobilized ligand. Various methods are used to enrich or purify a protein of interest from other proteins and components in a crude cell lysate or other sample. The most powerful of these methods is affinity chromatography, also called affinity purification, whereby the protein of interest is purified by virtue of its specific binding properties to an immobilized ligand.
The goal of his research is to develop a unified platform for antibody-and mass spectrometry (MS)-based proteomics. His technology is called Microsphere Affinity Proteomics (MAP) and involves labelling and extensive fractionation of sample proteins followed by parallel readout with MS- … This is a recording of the webinar "Simplifying Affinity Proteomics" hosted by Perfinity Biosciences on February 5th, 2015. For additional comments or inform GTP affinity probes are important tools for the study of GTP-binding proteins, and proteomic profiling is a powerful methodology well suited for the study of such a diverse class of proteins. Here, we synthesize and characterize a photoreactive GTP affinity probe that covalently photocross-links to protein targets and has an alkyne handle for click chemistry conjugation to reporter tags.
